The annexation of Tibet by the People’s Republic of China was a process of China taking over Tibet throughout 1950-1951. Tibet is said to be the third pole and is home to an abundant amount of natural resources that powerful countries such as China were dedicated in taking, no matter the cost. After fighting and realizing they didn't have the resources to win a war against China, Tibet decided to sign the Seventeen Point Agreement for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet. In which Tibet would be an autonomous region allowed to govern themselves. China has not withheld their part of this treaty and instead have been ruling Tibet with discriminatory law and oppression.
